Winyard Guitars make some very cool vintage inspired guitars but with a difference. This Stealthcaster is based on a late 50's blonde Fender Esquire but with an additional two high output Strat pick ups hidden under the guard which offers some additional tonal possibilities while keeping the clean visual lines of an regular Esquire. But that's not all, there are also a number of other modern player friendly features such as 9.5" radius neck with 22 frets, an ebony fretboard, Graphtech nut, 5 way switch, 6 individual brass bridge saddles and more - see full spec below.

Sonically the Stealthcaster delivers the classic Tele/Esquire twang on the bridge pick up, and the neck p/up has the warm woody tone of a Strat neck p/up with the middle position delivering the sweet and balanced Strat middle p/up tone, as to be expected. It is the two out of phase positions that are the biggest surprise psychologically. Close your eyes and your ears think you are playing a Strat (especially on the neck and middle out of phase position) but look down and it seems counter intuitive at first that these tones should be coming from a Tele like guitar. But that is the great thing about the Stealthcaster - it delivers the best of both the Tele and Strat worlds sonically in a package that has the cool mojo of a well played vintage Esquire.

The combination of the swamp ash body, flame maple neck and ebony fretboard results in an acoustically resonant guitar that has lots of snap and sustain, like any good Tele should.

The neck has a chunky C profile topped with a smooth ebony board and medium frets. The neck is made from a spectacular looking piece of AAA flame maple and is smooth and very comfortable to play.

The build quality is exceptional and is set off with an authentic vintage looking nitro finish with high quality relic work and attractive looking lacquer checking.
